PNM revises its approach to capping PV incentives

Legislative Update (Breaking News)

REIA efforts successful in buying time for negotiation. - On 9/22/2009 the PRC agreed with PNM, REIA and other intervenors who had requested that the solar portions of PNM's plan be postponed to allow the stakeholder's time and space in which to address the long-term energy challenges facing the State. Stakeholders must now negotiate as many aspects of this plan as possible and will hopefully arrive at a stipulated plan by years' end.

Renewable Energy Industries Association of New Mexico

REIA represents dozens of New Mexico companies and individuals who are actively engaged in the business of renewable energy.   We represent hundreds of “green collar” jobs right here in New Mexico.  The combination of technology, financial incentives and assistance programs, public interest and environmental issues are converging toward renewed growth in the renewable energy industry. The REIA-NM mission supports this positive growth by:

  • Opposing utility company efforts to limit renewable energy adoption
  • Establishing an effective relationship with our local, state, and national governments.
  • Increasing public awareness of the "here and now" contribution of renewables, as well as of their vast potential.
  • Aggressively promoting the use of renewable energy.
  • Encouraging high business and professional ethics and standards.
  • Promoting New Mexico's renewable energy industries.
